Health
and Safety Committee |
This group of union workers that sit on the Joint Health and Safety Committee are required by
legislation under the Ontario Health and Safety Act and WHIMS Regulations. The committee members
upon joining the team are to be trained in understanding of the law, workplace hazard recognition,
accident investigation and workplace safety inspections. Completing all training the member
is certified and is recognized by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board of Ontario as a qualified
member of the committee.
